A Season of Bliss

A Season of Bliss represents the light and warm hues during the summers sunrise & sunset. My emotions while capturing the images were that I wanted to express the feeling of freedom. It was important for me to allow my model to just let go of all inhibitions and really live for the moment as you can see. She is for the most part not posed or styled. Shes a goddess of nature in my work, a sister to our mother earth, and a direct extension of the child within us all. Innocence, Purity, Joyful, Free.

Odé A Isadora is a tribute to the late Isadora Duncan by Tania Calderón, 2011.

As I thought about recreating the spirit of Isadora Duncan I thought most about her role in dance through the use of improvisation and the human form. The Dance is figurative and there is still that very strong sense of Isadora in the lines.

"My inspiration to almost all of my nude work is in the dance and the movement. I feel like my work is my playtime. The moment of creation really comes from within and a place of Love. No matter what you think of nudity alone or in relation to art, for myself I feel the human form in the flesh is full of truths. To live without any worldly limitations through the union of body & spirit is enlightenment. Somewhere in the back of our minds we all remember that feeling of freedom without judgment, and that space to play. Imagine our existence without hiding beneath our thoughts, fears, and clothes. Imagine just letting yourself be." -Tania Calderón

Tania Calderón's images are the guttural expression of life, humanity, and sensuality. Visions that extract the most private inner soul by capturing the flaws and perfection of form frozen in a moments time. Her work is a private window of emotion spoken by the voice of skin and muscle to give the voyeur rapt pleasure and beauty of the body and soul. Earlier this year I was asked by the creator of The Real Rolemodels, Dusty Wenk, to come aboard on a journey to change this world for the better. I don't have to tell you, but after we sat down and she explained her ideas my answer was YES! Now I am the Director of Photography for The real Rolemodels and I have the pleasure of meeting all of you who come out to support this very important cause.

The Real Rolemodels is a non-profit organization and we have created this Social Photo Campaign which is set out to inspire people all around the world to stand up for what they believe in and take part by having their photo taken. The concept is simple... Choose a word that means something to you, find a quote that best describes your word and stop by one of our events to take your picture. With your support we will travel all over the US so look for us in a city near you.
